Walking into Gulu's house it was clear that this was a place that had a humble origin of cuisine as the main focus rather than flash. A comfortable and modest French style dining area allowed for a very relaxed atmosphere as we were given menus. Right away each dish delivered a variety of excellent flavors and textures. My partner and I opted for the meal set for two and the chicken and ribs blew us away as a main course and the appetizers packed serious flavor without too much bulk.
At around 1000 NT for two meals, this was certainly one of the best value spots in the area for the quality of the product. For anyone in taichung looking for a well rounded French meal at a great price point, this is the spot to go. The service was quick and the owner was appreciative to thank all the patrons for coming in. Highly recommend Gulu's house.
Excellent Authentic French food, cozy atmosphere, friendly owner and staff, and reasonably priced. It is definitely one of the best French Restaurants in Taichung.

不會很貴的法國菜。從前菜到甜點都很讓人滿意，主廚也很用心的上前詢問，整個氣氛都很溫馨。蘋果派不會單純只有甜味，焦糖的香味很一點點鹹味真的太美好了！！
是個令人走出餐廳還是很開心，覺得選了一個好地方，也很值得的店。

非常令人驚豔的法式料理，主廚的親切和如夢似幻般的用餐環境讓人有如置身在經典電影的餐廳場景中用餐的錯覺。前菜沙拉到主餐甜點每一道都十分令人讚嘆不絕，份量都恰到好處。燻鮭魚沙拉在蔬食用料上十分考究也非常新鮮，洋蔥湯口感滿分必須得點！！特別喜歡主餐牛排的處理，吃得到牛肉鮮甜和軟嫩，甜點的巧克力蛋糕也相當令人留戀，熔岩巧克力驚喜般的從蛋糕中流露出，甜度剛好香氣縈繞。覺得這是一個特別美好的夜晚～
